The Block 2019 | Studio reveals

This week each studio space had an element to love and each created a different space for their potential buyer.

In the end, it all came down to style and functionality – or better yet bringing the two elements together.

Style highlights …

Although they didn’t win, Andy and Deb’s elegant ‘coastal luxe’ room was my favourite by far.

The space is beautiful and calming with a white/natural colour palette stunning VJ paneling.

Their choice of cream bedhead was lovely as well as the woven pendant lights, white occasional chair, white bespoke cabinetry, and oversized white rug.

Thew love the touches of timber and the gorgeous rattan mirror as well as the plants for that little touch of colour.

The winners this week were Tess and Luke who created a self-contained unit, complete with bedroom, ensuite and kitchenette

Their efforts certainly paid off, and put them in a separate category as having the only home with an entire additional unit.

The monochrome colour pallet works beautifully in the space with hints of timber throughout, as well as browns, taupes and burgundy in the bedroom.

Mitch and Mark changed the architect’s plans once again creating an en-suite and walk-in robe designed to complement the plans they made in week one.

The walk-in-wardrobe is can only be described as glamorous and every woman’s dream.

Their en-suite featured dark navy tiling which worked beautifully with the white vanity and marble tiling.

The hero here though is that stunning and enormous free-standing bath, which is places perfectly beneath the window to capitalise on natural light.

Jesse and Mel created a clean, high-end modern space – with a bedroom and en-suite.

While the room is quite simple, the layout works beautifully to maximize the natural light.

The use of rich blue tones works well against the white canvas, and the addition of an occasional chair, marble side table and couch and table orientated towards a TV makes it a relaxed living space.

Their en-suite is simple but very lights, with a monochrome colour pallet and a little splash for burgundy for that pop of colour.

Elise and Matt’s room is all about the artworks and use of colour, which creates a warm and romantic feel.

The Graffico feature wall and stunning original artwork throughout is the highlight of their room, as well as that stunning velvet emerald green bedhead.

I love their his and hers walk-in robes, which a both beautiful and functional, a perfect addition in a luxury home.

Still ahead …

Next week is all about the double verandah.
